The staff were kind and attentive. We stayed four nights in early May in the deluxe studio apartment, which was much better than a standard single room. It's spacious and conveniently located, an easy walk to the center, restaurants, bars, the supermarket, and other places. I did expect more furniture in the sleeping area, though. It's just a small open alcove, with a drawer on the floor and a clothes rail above. The bathroom needs some work. There's no window, and its upper part is open to the bedroom. Water leaked from the shower onto the floor because it wasn't draining properly, and part of the gasket was missing. Maybe it wasn't peak season yet, but the dishes needed a proper wash. They might have been better left in the cupboard than on the drying rack where previous guests had put them.

Alessandra welcomed us so warmly and was really helpful, with great tips for places to eat and visit. The location was excellent, and our room was clean. The bedding was good, though the mattress protector was stiff and noisy. It wasn't a big deal and didn't spoil a wonderful stay in Matera.

We had a lovely stay, booked through Airbnb. The hostess was very friendly and gave us lots of information about Matera, with brochures also available in the lobby. There's parking in a nearby garage. Highly recommended.

The owner was extremely friendly and quick to respond to any requests. The place was very clean, with tasteful decor, and the view was wonderful. It's right in front of the main entrance to the Sassi. We had a fabulous New Year's Eve there. The place hardly needs publicity, since it's been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The place was clean, but the room my wife and I stayed in was small. It had no real window, no closet, and the air conditioning wasn't up to par. Breakfast wasn't included in the agreed price, so we ate at a nearby bar. Parking is close by, but costs €12 a day. I'm sorry, but I have to reply to the B&B owner. I paid €110, not €80 as she reported. And I'm not the only one who's complained about the air conditioning. The parking calculation she suggested sounds easy enough, but someone arriving in Matera and checking in after 3:00 PM pays €12 up to midnight. That means a one-night stay with departure in the afternoon comes to exactly €24.
