Casa Vacanze Il Belvedere Sui Sassi Suite (Adults Only)

We were given a map and an introduction to Matera, and the staff even helped us book a taxi. They were extremely kind and spoke excellent English. The terrace view was fantastic, even better than the viewpoints. Our room was nicely decorated with a unique feel, and breakfast had plenty of variety. What an amazing hotel, thank you for making our stay so lovely!

Breakfast was full of local flavors, and the main terrace looked out across the Old Town and the river. We stayed in a traditional cave room with a little private veranda. It was spacious and beautiful, elegantly decorated, and had all the modern comforts. The room was quiet, warm, and cozy, and the bathroom was large and well designed. Il Belvedere sits in a stunning, easy-to-reach spot in the heart of Matera’s Old Town. There’s a municipal parking lot just a minute’s walk away. The staff were polite, helpful, and spoke excellent English. It was a dream stay, and we can’t wait to return.

The terrace view will blow you away. We loved the character of the rooms, the beautiful hotel, the delicious breakfast, and how helpful the staff were. Really hope we can come back soon.

The views are stunning, and it’s easy to walk along Matera’s historic paths from here. Our room was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and practical, and the atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel.
