The cleanliness really stood out to me. I’m fussy about that, and the toilet and sink looked like new. Even the toilet brush was cleaned daily, and the drain was spotless. The owner wasn’t there in person, but she was excellent on WhatsApp, checking in each day and answering our questions warmly. We liked the place enough to add another night, and hope they keep up the same standard. The rooms are stylish without feeling overdone, with subtle colors, high ceilings, and carefully chosen details, right down to the lamps and dishes in the shared kitchen. New curtains, windows, and a balcony door fit the design nicely, and I loved having stone floors in the bedroom and kitchen instead of carpet. There’s a charming little balcony, too. The B&B is on a quiet side street, yet everything in the city center is practically outside the door. Absolutely recommended.

The hosts were so kind, and breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh ricotta. A lovely, cosy B&B close to the city centre.

A Calata is stylish, peaceful, and right in the center. I’d happily recommend it. What made it especially memorable for me was that they sent my forgotten bracelet all the way to Germany. Thank you so much! The rooms are beautifully furnished.

We’d happily come back. The price was reasonable for that time of year, and they had breakfast items as well as coffee. Our ground-floor room was recently renovated, clean, tastefully furnished, and spacious enough for four. The location is excellent. One thing to know: the small bathroom has a designer sink that’s only suited to washing your hands, and water tends to spill out. We didn’t meet the host. It was our first time in Sicily.
