Agua Green Resort

We’ve come back for a second visit, this time with the kids, and it’s just right for a family holiday. The villas have big gardens, the food and drinks are great, and there’s plenty to do nearby. It’s also peaceful and close to the beach.

The location has real potential: it’s near a nice beach bar, the staff are friendly, and we enjoyed dinner. But our garden villa was nowhere near as bright or modern as the website photos suggested. The place felt poorly maintained, and the hygiene was disappointing. There was mold in the dishwasher even after ten washes at 70°C, lots of dust in the air conditioning, and a filthy sofa cover. It’s important to know that the rooms vary a lot. There seems to be a newer renovated section, which may explain the positive reviews, alongside an older part. Our villa was in the older condition and, especially at this price, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and quality. I hope those rooms get renovated soon.

We’d happily come back. The room curtains let in sunlight from 5:45am, which woke our son, and since our villa was farthest from the bar, a coffee machine in the room would’ve been a nice option. Still, we had a really relaxing four-night stay, which isn’t easy with a two-year-old. The pool is beautiful, and everyone at the bar and restaurant was lovely and playful with him. Special thanks to Adam, who went out of his way to keep our son occupied so we could eat in peace.

Those little puppies wandering around made the stay extra lovely, and we’d gladly come back. Our room was huge and spotless, with a large private terrace just outside. The pool area is kept in great shape, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast can get a bit crowded because there isn’t much room, but we didn’t mind.
