Terranura

Breakfast was freshly made each morning with local ingredients, and the staff were kind and attentive throughout. Fabrizio, the owner, deserves a special mention for being warm, helpful, and clearly passionate about making guests’ stays memorable. Terranura is in a brilliant spot, just steps from San Lorenzo beach, one of Sicily’s most beautiful, and only minutes from the charming center of Marzamemi. The accommodation feels like a lovely mix of modern comfort and authentic Sicilian character. We had an incredible stay and can’t wait to return.

With only four rooms, the hotel felt like a private retreat where we could enjoy real peace and quiet. It’s close to everything, yet the setting is calm, which made for a wonderfully stress-free stay. The staff were kind, professional, and attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The warm atmosphere and all the little details showed how much care goes into looking after guests. This was one of my best vacations, and the team made a real difference. Comfort and privacy are a rare combination, and this place has both. I’ll definitely return. The location was ideal, and the whole stay felt unforgettable.

We ran into Marzamemi on our first morning, about 5 km away, and it was a beautiful outing. Terranura is also handy for Vendicari Natural Park, Noto, which everyone says you have to see and they’re right, and Porto Palo. We especially recommend Isola delle Correnti for the lovely beach and clear sea. Having a car is convenient, though San Lorenzo beach is an easy ten-minute walk away. Leaving after three days of bliss is hard, but the B&B made it even harder. I’m fussy about cleanliness, and the new building was spotless, thanks to staff who went above and beyond to keep it pristine. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully supplied, with everything from towel hooks and plenty of wardrobe hangers to a beauty set with toiletries. The towels and sheets were high quality, the mattress and pillows comfortable, and the air conditioning worked brilliantly without making a sound. The garden was beautifully cared for, full of colourful flowers and two olive trees. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with nourishing local produce to choose from each day. We ate in the cool, breezy garden, and the kind, polite breakfast lady was a highlight every morning. Fabrizio, the owner, made us feel truly welcome and formed a genuine connection with us. You can tell he cares about guests and their experience. Though young and running a new business, he already delivers service with the warmth of someone seasoned. He’s charming, interesting and lovely, the sort of person you wish you could be friends with. Thank you to the Terranura staff. We hope to come back soon.

Two lovely days at Terranura. Fabrizio really looks after his guests and is a great host. The complex is simple but elegantly designed, and the breakfast was delicious. I also liked that we could choose our food the day before to help reduce waste. And Fabrizio has omelettes absolutely nailed. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area.
