Casa Pizzuta

We loved the quiet evenings here, especially the sunsets. Once in a while a curious, gentle fox would come by, which made our little boy so happy. Riccardo was friendly and thoughtful while still giving us space. The place feels genuine, surrounded by olive trees and prickly pears near the Vendicari nature reserve, and Pizzuta beach is an easy walk away. A wonderful vacation.

The house sits inside the Eloro archaeological park, with the Vendicari nature reserve and an enchanting, unequipped beach just a stroll away. The sand is golden and the water clean. Around here the landscape is pure Sicily: land and sea, with nothing else, and not a road in sight. It feels peaceful and untouched, yet this is ground where people who shaped the area's history walked more than two thousand years ago. I felt at home here while also feeling somewhere fantastic. If you want to get away from daily life and relax in the real Sicily, this could be the place. You couldn't ask for more.

The house was comfortable and furnished with good taste, and the air conditioning was especially welcome during the hottest part of our August stay. We were warmly received, and the area is very quiet. It's about a 12-minute walk to the free beach and its wonderful sea.

Such a lovely place, though sadly the cleanliness seemed neglected.
