Salvo and his parents really made the stay. They were welcoming, quick to lend a hand, and had great tips for enjoying the Noto area of Sicily. The apartment itself is comfortable and cozy, with a bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, balcony, and a large terrace. It works well for a couple and can accommodate a family of four. Just keep in mind this is a unit in a private condominium, so there’s no lobby or reception. Noto’s downtown is about a 20-minute walk.

There are stairs up to the second and top floor, so anyone with mobility problems should take that into account. From there, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the historic center, while the beaches are around a 15-minute drive away; there’s also a mini market nearby. The mini apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, plus a lovely big terrace and a furnished balcony. The hostess was warm, cheerful, and keen to make sure guests were comfortable and had help when needed.

Maria and her husband, Paolo, are genuinely thoughtful people. Their holiday home feels personal, with care and passion showing in the cleanliness and all the little details, even the tasteful linens. It’s especially welcoming for two, and has a spacious terrace with a pergola, barbecue, and succulents. I’d gladly recommend it, particularly to friends vacationing in this part of Sicily.

Maria is dependable and there when you need her, without hovering. The apartment is clean and has the comforts of home, with plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. There were also thoughtful extras like coffee, water, and welcome treats. I felt at home here and would highly recommend it.
