Kalote On The Roof Apartments

I’ve stayed in two of their apartments, and both were lovely and welcoming. They’re centrally located.

The staff are very attentive and helpful with every need. The apartment is clean, welcoming, and has all the amenities. It’s in the historic center and a great choice for a vacation in the cradle of eastern Sicily.

The apartment looked modern, but it felt rather basic, and the price seemed far too high for the quality. The balcony was listed, though it was barely large enough to put your feet up. There was no bathroom door, including for the toilet, just a frosted glass partition between that area and the bedroom. The mattress was so uncomfortable that our backs hurt. We’d been traveling around Sicily for three weeks without any trouble sleeping. If you only need somewhere to sleep near the old town and can handle very hard beds, this may work for you. It really wasn't right for me.

The location in central Noto was excellent, and the service was good, with very helpful staff. The main drawback was the lack of doors between rooms. In particular, only a half-height glass panel separated the bathroom from the bedroom.
