B&B Preludio

The location is very central, and the cleaning was thorough. The kitchen is fully equipped. A couple of small repairs are needed, such as the bathroom door that doesn’t fully close and the coffee machine that wasn’t working. Even so, I’d recommend it.

Parking was easy, and the place is right in the center. Everything was spotless and well cared for, with new furnishings and nothing missing. Mrs. Giulia was kind and ready to help. A really good experience, highly recommended.

The owner was warm and helpful, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. We got breakfast at a nearby café, coffee or cappuccino with a croissant, and they provide bicycles. The B&B is about 1 km from Nova Siri beach. You can sometimes hear neighbors using the bathroom at night since the rooms aren't very soundproof.

Room 3 had its bathroom inside, and during our three-day stay in mid-August it was unbearably hot, with temperatures over 30 degrees outside. My partner was four months pregnant, and our son was four. The air conditioner only blew warm air, even on the lowest setting, and dripped when we tried it the first evening. After I told the owner, she sent a technician the next day. It still didn't cool the room, but she seemed to think we didn't know how to operate it. She turned on a fan when we got back from the beach, though it just moved the hot air around. We spent another miserable night. The next day the unit made a metallic sound and started spitting out layers of ice. I sent the owner an audio message saying we needed a different room or we'd leave, and asked for a refund for our last two days. After several days, she moved us to another room, where the air conditioning worked. But the sheets there hadn't been changed. We found hair and stains, so we covered the bed with our towels and slept on top of them. The owner did try the solutions we suggested, but her annoyed, pedantic manner made it clear she thought we were the ones who couldn't use the air conditioning. I've traveled a lot for work and never had an experience like this. The one positive is that she eventually tried to fix things. Avoid if you can, especially with a baby.
