Hotel Croce di Malta

Our attic room felt cramped and poorly laid out, with thin walls that let in noise from nearby rooms. I had to go down to reception to ask for help when it kept us awake. The Wi-Fi was very weak on the third floor, and breakfast was disappointing, with stale pastries and low-quality items. Even the flimsy synthetic napkins added to the feeling that things were neglected. We paid €167 a night, then spotted the same room listed on Booking.com for around €80 just two days later, so we felt badly overcharged. We’d only chosen Croce di Malta because it was one of the few options in our company booking portal for that location. The hotel offered little beyond the basics expected of a 3-star place. After a long flight, we arrived in the evening and were kept waiting at reception while staff tried to charge us city tax that was already included in our prepayment. It took almost 20 minutes before they admitted the mistake. I wouldn’t stay here again.
