We arrived on one of those scorching July days and were immediately offered a big bottle of cold water. This family-run place captures the Italian hospitality of the old days. The very elderly lady of the house makes all the breakfast herself, and everything is homemade. The rooms are thoughtfully detailed and quiet, since the building isn't right on the main road. An inspiration 😍😍😍

The hosts were very kind and helpful, and the room was huge and tastefully furnished. The bathroom even had a whirlpool bath. It's about four kilometers from central Lucca. The only downside was that our room is directly under the roof and felt a little cold. Still, I recommend it.

We thought there might be no places left in Lucca, but found this one and were really happy with it. The hosts welcomed us warmly and let us leave our gravel bikes in the courtyard. Parking was available on the main road, and their restaurant tip was fantastic. MaryFrank serves typical Italian home cooking, the kind working people eat. It's a great base for cycling along the canal tomorrow and seeing the famous Ponte del Diavolo bridge.

I stayed here for work and found the room spacious, with a comfortable bed and a quiet, relaxing feel. A nice morning chat with the friendly, helpful owners was a good start to the workday. A charming B&B in Lucca, highly recommended. If I come back, this will be my go-to place.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything you need, and the location is excellent. It's a family-run B&B, cared for by people who clearly do the job with passion and want to welcome others into their home.
