Breakfast was disappointing, with only a small amount of food to choose from. The door to our room was broken and could easily have been forced open by a child. This definitely didn’t feel like a 4-star stay.

The room was clean, though the whole place felt old, almost like a museum, with its distinctive vintage look. Breakfast was really poor: there was mold in the rice milk, and the muesli no longer tasted good. It didn’t feel like a 4-star experience.

The place was very clean and nice, but the windows need replacing, and the shower has seen better days. We visited in November and the rooms were cold.

We arrived without a reservation because I’d put the wrong dates on mine, but the receptionist was excellent and found us somewhere for the night. Our room felt dated, and ants were crawling all over our laptop. The hotel is outside the main action, though it’s a brisk 20-minute walk, which is probably a good bit of exercise for everyone anyway.

The rooms are huge and very clean, and the staff were consistently kind and available. I liked the vintage decor. Breakfast could use more choice: during my stay there was no bread or fruit. The doors were also tricky to open. You have to insert the card and move quickly, and I saw a lot of people struggle with it.
