Le Nove Hotel

The in-house restaurant was great. We arrived 15 minutes before it closed, and the receptionist's first question was whether we'd eaten dinner. When we said no, she sent us straight to the restaurant and said check-in could wait. Great service! It might be helpful to have a little room note with the Wi-Fi details, breakfast information and check-out time. Of course, reception can provide all of that. Just an idea.

Breakfast needed to be ordered ahead, and it could be put together to suit your own requirements. In the morning, they were also happy to bring me two extra coffees, which I really appreciated as a demanding customer. It's a very interesting concrete hotel with a view over the region. The room was spotless, nicely decorated and ready for us. I'd put it in the silver category.

The restaurant was a highlight too. I had the lamb chops, and the flavor was divine. Emanuel and Franco are great managers, bartenders and caretakers, and the rest of the staff were great as well. It's a beautiful hotel. If you go to Nove, you've got to stay here. I can't imagine being disappointed.

The restaurant attached to the hotel served good food, and the staff there were lovely. The room itself was a different story. The layout was strange, with a small sink in the bathroom, no soap or place for a towel, and the shower area separate. There was a sink with counter space beside the shower, but the door only opened outward, so putting a bath towel on the floor was awkward. The shower head and controls sat in the middle of the wall, and bumping them changed the water pressure and temperature. I'm not a large person. The pillows were fairly dense and the bed was alright. Parking was difficult with our large rental, an Audi A8. They asked what we wanted for breakfast on the first morning, then served the same thing the second morning without another option. I declined the omelette but was charged for it anyway. For those reasons, I wouldn't recommend it and would look somewhere else.
