Hotel Cimabue

Breakfast was very limited and basic. The bathroom was in awful shape, with mold, rust and dirt, and the rest of the building felt old and neglected too. We were on the first floor and could hear every car outside. Each one seemed to make the whole building shake, so I can only imagine how loud it must have been on the ground floor. The photos gave me the wrong idea of what we were booking. For that price, there are much better options elsewhere. Honestly, it felt like a scam.

The woman at reception who checked me in was so friendly and patient, and gave me useful information. The rooms have a vintage look from the outside, but inside they're modern and nicely renovated. It was a lovely stay, and I'd gladly come back. The tram and Piazza di San Marcos are only a minute's walk away.

The towels hang right above the toilet, so you can imagine where they might end up. The mattresses were so old they had gone brown. This was easily the worst place I've stayed. It felt like sleeping on a mattress laid out on a Florence walkway. Stay away, this place should be called a hostel.

The hotel is in terrible, old condition, and the photos give a completely different impression. The beds were uncomfortable, and I didn't feel the windows were safe for children. I won't book here again. The location was convenient, about 10 minutes from the Duomo. Breakfast in the café had a great atmosphere, and Jeff stood out for his excellent service and hospitality.
