Masseria Convento

A lovely, quiet setting, and the hospitality was outstanding.

We spent 10 unforgettable days here. The outdoor areas are a real highlight, especially the beautiful pool, and the Masseria itself is magnificent and well equipped. There’s air conditioning throughout and a kitchen that works very well. It’s also a great base for exploring Salento, with Lecce only a 10-minute drive away. That magnificent city was the highlight of our summer. The hosts were so kind and friendly, and we enjoyed getting to know them. Their advice was excellent. This is the most beautiful summer rental we’ve stayed in in Puglia, and we’d love to return. I wholeheartedly recommend the villa.

The location is nice, and the owner welcomed me warmly, which makes the stay all the more unfortunate. I’d paid for two nights but left after the first because the noise and smell were too much. The owner’s dogs barked through the night, starting around 1:30 a.m., and I could hear them like a canine choir. The room also had a sewer-like odor, with stagnant water and an unpleasant mystery smell. I came to rest and left tired, with a new appreciation for earplugs and a smell I won’t soon forget.

The owners are really friendly, and the location works perfectly for visiting the sights. My room had everything I could need, and the whole property is beautiful. The pool was spotless and such a pleasure to use. I found the accommodation impeccable and highly recommend it.
