Residence Marcelli

The location was great, but this was a terrible stay. The sheets were clean, yet the pillows under them were yellowish and stained, including the spare one in the closet. The blinds jammed every time, and it took us 30 minutes to close them again. Every dish we used was filthy and caked with grime. On the first day I spent an hour cleaning a scratched, crusted, stained pan that looked nonstick. We stayed a week and had no other choice but to eat from it, though I was disgusted each time I cooked. The sofa bed frame was broken and badly held together with tape that kept peeling off, and parts of the walls looked as if someone had stepped on them. We paid almost €900 for a week in a studio without a fan or washing machine, and the website’s so-called flat-screen TV was a CRT. We knew about those things from the website and its photos, so I’m not complaining about them. I did expect a clean apartment, though. The balcony was dirty as well; I cleaned it myself and the rag came away completely black. The table, chairs, and floor were just as bad. Yesterday I called customer service, not realizing the agency was closed then, which was MY MISTAKE. They answered, told me they needed some information, then hung up. It was a terrible experience, and now it’s spoiled my memories of the beautiful town of Marcelli. NEVER AGAIN.
