Residenza Erbaluna

We were welcomed with a drink after a long journey, which we really appreciated. The staff are great and helpful, and the quiet apartments at Residenza Erbaluna have fully equipped kitchenettes. The residence sits above Lago Maggiore with spectacular views across the area. There's a steep walk down to a small public beach by the lake, or you can drive there since there's plenty of parking. A lovely place for couples looking to relax and enjoy the view, and a good base for exploring and hiking too.

We had such a peaceful, lovely stay and really enjoyed the view over the lake. The owner and his wife were very nice and gave us great suggestions for places to visit.

Ignazio was a wonderful host. He helped with our luggage and brought us breakfast, plus a fantastic cheese platter and delicious wine. Tatjana was very friendly too. The view is breathtaking, and after we were nice guests, unlike one impossible couple, we were lucky to get sunshine. We even received a birthday present, so grazie mille for that. We were glad to add three days here over my birthday to our trip to my beloved Lake Maggiore. I spend a few days here almost every year, so I know space right by the lake is limited, and you usually have to go uphill or down into a valley. The drive to Erbaluna isn't especially difficult or long. It has three or four hairpin bends, but I've driven longer and tougher roads around Lake Maggiore. This isn't a four-star hotel, but a guesthouse with excellent value for money.
