Hotel Abbaruja

The garden is really pretty, and the receptionist was very friendly. It’s about five minutes on foot to the beach, with a supermarket and some restaurants nearby. The hotel is well located for the airport, though it feels very old and could use modernizing. My room was tiny, and the fridge barely cooled anything. The AC worked very well, which matters on such a hot island. I found the breakfast options limited, but I’d still recommend the place.

We’ve been here for seven days and have loved it so far. The staff are so friendly, especially Roberto, his wife, and I think their kids. They’re fun to talk to and always happy to help. Every morning there’s a delicious breakfast with lots of options. The hotel is very central in Pittulongu, close to two bus stops, and they’ll give you the bus schedule if you ask. One beach is a five-minute walk away, and another, even prettier one, is 20 minutes on foot or five minutes by bus. Nearby restaurants are delicious, too. Our room had working Wi-Fi and air conditioning, plus a beautiful, spacious balcony with a sea view. 10/10, I’d come back.

The room was small, but had a decent-sized bed, a wardrobe, a fridge, air conditioning, and a bathroom with what we needed. When we had an issue with the soap dispenser and a clogged shower drain, the staff sorted both out right away. Everyone was very pleasant, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast is included, with prosciutto, salami, croissants, yogurt, eggs, coffee, and cookies. It’s a lovely hotel close to the beach. Highly recommend. 💙💛

The staff are the standout here. They’re wonderfully accommodating and make sure you’re comfortable. The room layout also works really well, giving you the feeling of having your own private apartment. The hotel is surrounded by flowers and trees, with sea views in front and mountains behind. It’s well placed for a local shop, plenty of restaurants, and a few bars, all within walking distance. Be careful with other hotels nearby, though, since they charge outside guests extortionately for dinner. The beach is just a two-minute walk, with white sand and clear water. There’s a small beach bar that rents pedalos and parasols, and offers windsurfing lessons. The area isn’t built around tourism, so it’s a perfect place to relax and get away. The hotel was the cherry on top for us. We’d love to return and would recommend it to anyone.
