On my first visit, I had such a positive stay that I chose to return. This time was a complete letdown, and I won't be back. The hotel has fallen well short of the standard I remembered, and for what it charges, the service, food, and dining options simply aren't worth the money. I wouldn't recommend it. The food was far below expectations, and I've rarely eaten such poor quality food. Prices are way out of proportion. At breakfast, I asked for half an avocado, then changed my mind when I heard it would cost €12. That's an unreasonable amount for half an avocado. Pizza was also on the menu during my previous stay, which seemed natural for a large hotel in Italy, but it's since been removed. That may sound minor, but to me it reflects a broader decline in the dining experience. Service has deteriorated too, especially at breakfast. Staff seemed inexperienced, responsibilities weren't clear, and the service felt disorganized. My tea and coffee orders were often late or forgotten. The beach service staff responsible for sunbeds also came across as rude and unhelpful, and didn't seem sure how to assist guests. People dealing directly with guests should be better trained, courteous, and ready to find solutions.

The hotel was beautiful, with lovely views, a relaxed feel, and service that made the stay feel special. Simon and Camela deserve a special thank you for being so warm, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to help, and their care made a real difference. I had a wonderful time and would gladly return. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Sardinia-Olbia. This was my first holiday with my husband and baby, and this hotel let us down badly. I'd go back to Sardinia in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't return here, even if someone paid me. For anyone looking, it felt like a Jet2Holiday at a 5 star price. We were made 40 minutes late to our dinner reservation on our last evening, something that has never happened to me in 35 years of travel. We asked at 4pm for a cab with a baby seat, which they'd been providing all week. At 5.15, we went to the lobby and were asked if the cab could come at 6, even though dinner was at 6 and we needed to get the baby back to sleep by 8.15. They agreed, then walked away. The cab didn't arrive until 6.05, and staff spent another 15 minutes looking for the baby seat. Their compensation was a free ride back to the hotel and a few chocolates. The handwritten note was addressed to "Valued Guest," not my name. Getting an airport transfer before arrival was a struggle too. I sent two emails, a WhatsApp message, and made four calls. Only after I threatened to cancel did someone call back and arrange it. On arrival they said they'd upgraded us, presumably because I had made a fuss, but then we waited 45 minutes for the room after being told it would be ready in five. The food was mediocre at best and cost 150 euros per meal. Two of the three restaurants have set menus, and at one you can choose either two starters or two mains. That makes no sense to me. On day two, they stopped beach food service because the kitchen staff were "overworked." Their staffing problems shouldn't fall on guests paying an extortionate amount at a 5 star hotel that advertises beach service. There were rules at every turn. We had to carry towel cards and could only get as many towels as there were people in our room. That's ludicrous at a luxury resort. I don't want to be micromanaged on vacation. I also found a hair in my room service salad. One afternoon I went to the beach alone at 3pm for a rare break from my husband and baby. There were probably 20 people there and no one in the front row, but the attendant put me in a chair at the far side, beside the loud public beach, four rows back. When I asked to move closer to the water, he said the front row was for "suite guests only." I paid a lot to be there, so with those seats open, I felt I should have been allowed to use one. On our last day, the beach was closed for safety because of high winds, though it felt like a light breeze at most. We tried the pool instead, but there were no seats because it was busy with the beach closed. Nobody brought beach chairs over for the extra guests, so I was left wondering if I was meant to sit in my 900euro per night room and look at the wall.

Charging €18 for a basic breakfast pancake is one example of how this stay disappointed me. Breakfast staples should come with the meal, not be sold as luxury extras. A 5-star price doesn't guarantee a 5-star experience, and this was only one of several things that fell short.

Our check-in and check-out were smooth, and although the room wasn't ready when we arrived, they let us change in a guest room and head to the pool. We appreciated having the same option to shower and freshen up before leaving on departure day. The grounds are lovely, with a spacious, carefully maintained garden, charming little corners, benches, and hammocks. The pool was also nice, with comfortable loungers and attentive service. Staff throughout were friendly, courteous, and focused on guests. Breakfast had everything we wanted. Our Deluxe Garden Room was laid out well, with comfortable beds and lots of storage. But the private garden strip was so narrow that we couldn't use it. The bathroom also didn't feel like a five-star one. There were no robe hooks or towel racks, no cosmetic mirror, and barely any counter space for toiletries. And we found the prices for alcoholic drinks extremely high and unjustified.
