Rotondo Residence

We were six people at Rotondo Residence, and the stay was a disaster from the moment we arrived. Booking.com sent us an inaccurate address link that led to one of several parking lots, with no way to find or enter our apartment. The complex has buildings with very different layouts and styles, and the online photos didn’t make clear which one we’d booked. There was no visible reception or check-in desk. We had numbers for Patricia and Marco: Marco answered the first few times, then stopped responding. Patricia spoke only Italian, so it was very hard to communicate. We spent hours wandering around and asking strangers until we found building No. 39, without any help from staff. The apartment was much smaller than expected and short on equipment. There weren’t enough kitchen utensils for six, and it had no toilet paper or hand soap. We got no instructions or welcome pack, and the WiFi didn’t work for the whole 10-day stay. Patricia eventually replied on WhatsApp in Italian with a network name that didn’t even exist, and there was no follow-up or help. A few days in, we got an email claiming there were seven guests instead of six and asking for an extra payment through a link. We asked for proof and were told someone would come to check, but nobody showed up. After we got home, they also tried to charge our card another €178 without telling us or giving a reason. We found a rat on the balcony on our last day. The shared pool was barely usable too: it was open only from 8:00-12:00 and 16:00-20:00, and you had to wear a swim cap, so we didn’t use it. The place felt unorganized, unclean, and poorly managed, with unresponsive staff and misleading advertising. It ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. Avoid Rotondo Residence at all costs, unless it is a private person.
