Tramas Hotel & SPA

The steam room and sauna were great, and the female massage therapist gave me a spectacular traditional Swedish massage. Grazie mille! My partner had a massage next to me, but his was extremely underwhelming. The man performing it used very erratic movements and seemed simply untrained. I also felt uncomfortable throughout my own massage because a male “therapist” was in the room. Staff should ask whether that’s okay with the person getting a massage. For me, it absolutely wasn’t, and I had to focus on breathing through my nervousness. We’d been excited to try the spa after reading the reviews. Also, the massage oil was rancid. Please replace it.

I’d had an exceptional extended stay here two years ago, so I returned, but was shocked and dismayed by how much it had declined. I don’t know what happened. The apartment had lights that didn’t work, a phone that wasn’t even plugged into the wall, and very cheap, scratchy bedding and pillows. The spa is open to the public and was loud, cramped, and dirty. Most of the staff I remembered had left. The people in charge now didn’t seem trained in hospitality and put their bad moods ahead of guest comfort. I’d prepaid for a week but checked out after four days. I won’t return.

Breakfast had vegan options and the food was very good. The hotel was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms aren’t well soundproofed, so you can hear people in the hall and sometimes in the next room.

We came with bicycles, and the hotel was very accommodating, with safe storage for them. It’s a lovely hotel in a great location, and breakfast was amazing.
