Agriturismo Camisadu

The owner made us lunch even though the farmhouse was closed. We’d arrived by chance after a long journey, on a weekday and already past 1 p.m., but she welcomed us like distant family and quickly put together a wonderful homemade meal. We had Malloreddus, wild boar stew, pickled vegetables, and other tasty dishes, including excellent Sevadas. The mountain views are breathtaking, and the place has a peaceful, homely feel that takes you away from the noise of city life and brings to mind an older time. The bill came to €70 for a mixed appetizer, two good tomato ravioli, 1/4 cup of house wine, coffee, and a piece of fruit. We thought that was far too much. When we said so, the owner was rude, and there was no menu or price list on display. We happened upon a quiet, pleasant place, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

We couldn’t sleep because the owners’ dogs howled through the night. There were 13 of us, staying in rooms and camping, and both the dinner and its price fell short of what our reservation described. Breakfast was €10 for a piece of bread, moldy butter, and a store-bought cake. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place. Thankfully, the other 11 places we stayed were fantastic.

The dogs barked constantly all night, so we didn’t get any sleep. Breakfast was just moldy butter and a store-bought cake, and dinner was tasteless and different from what we’d booked. Compared with the other agriturismos we stayed at over the past week, this was mediocre and overpriced. Very disappointing.
