Gitavillage Il Gabbiano

We stayed in a Coco- Sweet tent in August and really liked it. The campsite is a good choice for a family holiday. It's close to the autobahn, but you can't hear it, and the Mediterranean pines keep the grounds shady. It's not a large site, but it has what you need, including a restaurant, shop, and access to its own small beach. The beach is quiet and comfortable if you get there around 9 in the morning. The animators were great, with parties, dancing, cartoons, and beach activities every evening. The Tuscan scenery all around is exciting to explore, from thermal baths and mountains to the sea and coastal towns. A shop is about a 10-minute walk, a larger supermarket 20 minutes away, and a shopping center 30 minutes away. Service is in Italian, but we had no complaints about that. The showers and toilets were a little dirty, though the number of people at the campsite explains it. Internet was bad, really almost nonexistent.

The beach is close by and lovely for a family holiday. Everything was really clean, practical, and easy to get to. Space is a little tight for four people, but manageable.

The sites beneath the stone pines are good, and the staff were very helpful. The beach is close, good for swimming, and you can bike safely to the village, about 20 minutes away. My only gripe was that there was nowhere to dispose of grey water.

The location is nice and close to the beach. Most of the staff don't speak English, though, and the restaurant is far too expensive. They serve you a piece of meat and call it a "hamburger".
