Cala Viola Trilo 1.5km From The Sea

For a quiet, laid-back holiday, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. The rooms are simple but very clean, and they gave us plenty of towels. There are nice, affordable restaurants and cafes nearby, and a lovely beach about a 20-minute walk away. To explore places around Sos Alinos, though, renting a car is a better idea since the buses don’t run often. Greetings from Marta and Greg (Poland).

It was quiet and peaceful at the hotel, and the basic accommodation matched the price. The staff were very nice, though they spoke little English. The walls are thin, so we could hear conversations from next door. We stayed more than a week and got no room service or towel changes. I’m not sure if you have to request those. The area isn’t touristy and there’s little to do; buses are unreliable.

There were extra costs of a significant amount when we arrived that we hadn’t expected. We ended up leaving early because the stay became unbearable and felt like a complete waste of money. The bathroom had black mold, and when we told the manager, he tried to make us think it wasn’t so bad. In the end, part of the ceiling came down. The apartment was dim, with old, partly broken furniture, and the bed was so uncomfortable it gave me back pain. We could hear everything our neighbors did, which made sleep difficult. The kitchen had no cleaning sponges or towels either. The general atmosphere was depressing and unwelcoming. The location wasn’t attractive or walkable, and there were no nice restaurants in town. I’ve never stayed somewhere so awful. Not recommended.

I travel a lot, but I’ve never felt so unwelcome and stressed instead of relaxed. An older man working there kept telling the kids to stop playing and be quiet in the pool. He was generally rude, though the receptionist was nice. The pool closing in the middle of the day was a ridiculous policy. I booked here because my friend was staying too, so our kids could play together after we hadn’t seen each other for a long time. Otherwise, I’d never have picked this hotel or apartment. They even charged us for not cleaning the kitchen counter, though they hadn’t provided dishwashing liquid or a sponge. The apartment was never cleaned during our eight-night stay, and the towels weren’t changed once. There were ants everywhere, inside and outside. The pool was very noisy at 4:30 a.m., probably because of the cleaning machine. I later found out they wanted to charge my friend €10 per person per day for electricity and gas. Who does that? This place isn’t worth the price. Thank goodness for beautiful Sardinia beaches.
