We stayed for a week in January 2020. The apartment was nice and the location was good. Some of the equipment could use an update, but overall the stay was decent until we asked the owner for something or raised a complaint. He became rude and humiliating, wouldn’t listen to what we had to say, and at one point grew aggressive when I disagreed with him. I had to stop the exchange. It felt like he was ready to start a fight. If you visit his property, be prepared not to complain.

We were a family of four staying for a week in July 2020. The apartment was nice and had a good view. Some of the equipment was fine, some was old, and the microwave couldn’t be used because its handle was broken. Wi-Fi was very unstable. There was a sauna, but it cost €8 per person and wasn’t included. None of those smaller issues bothered us much. The host’s conduct was the real problem. On arrival we asked for the free bus and swimming pool tickets people usually get in Ortisei. This was our third trip there, but we didn’t receive them until day three. We broke two water glasses and told the host. He charged us €2 for each, which was fair enough, although after 16 trips to the Alps we’d never been charged for that before. We wanted to walk in the mountains on departure day, so asked if we could leave the car in a parking place near the house and keep our mobile coolbox plugged into a 220V outlet for the day. The host wouldn’t let us leave the car and charged €5 for electricity to run the coolbox for 6-7 hours. The worst moment came when I returned the keys. The host inspected the apartment and said it was less clean than when we arrived, pointing to oil marks on the wall behind the electric hob. He called us disrespectful for leaving it that way and made remarks about my wife’s ability to clean. I admit it wasn’t perfectly clean, but it shouldn’t have needed to be, since final cleaning was included in the price. We believe we left it tidy, though not cleaned, and don’t accept that we were disrespectful. The host’s way of treating guests was highly disrespectful. Mr Hoffer, with that attitude, I expect you wash all your dishes yourself after each restaurant visit! The host made clear he didn’t want to see us as guests again. We feel the same.

The apartments are lovely, and the owner is really nice. This was our second stay here, and we’re already planning to come back next year. See you then! 🥰

The views and the city were both perfect, and we had such beautiful moments here. Lukas, the owner, is a kind person. ♥️♥️
