Chalet Hotel Hartmann – Adults Only

The breakfast buffet was exceptional, and the food quality was wonderful. Guests can also help themselves at the 24/7 “honesty bar,” with tea, coffee, and cake. The saunas have a lovely atmosphere, though I'd suggest changing the music in the main sauna. Guests were exceptionally considerate and quiet, too. Our room was very pretty and had everything we needed. The hotel’s services were extremely helpful, including free bus tickets and a shuttle to the ski lift. The service was among the best we've experienced: personal and warm, almost like family, while still professional. We'd recommend this gem very highly.

The facilities really amazed us: sauna, steam room, UV bathing room, hot and cold shower room, blue-red light room, and a relaxation room. I only wish I'd taken my phone downstairs to photograph them! We also had a room with a great balcony and a view, and the breakfast selection was beyond what we expected. The woman at reception was very sweet, polite, and helpful. There's a bus stop outside, and the hotel provides a QR code for free bus rides to town, less than five minutes away. Nothing about the hotel disappointed us, absolutely brilliant!

We actually enjoyed the roughly 15-minute walk into town, with its peace and great views. Chalet Hartmann in Ortisei is a small, stylish boutique hotel with lots of character, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Their genuine hospitality made a real difference. Breakfast was included, with great quality and plenty of variety. It was a cozy, quiet place with top-notch service and charm. We’ll absolutely be back.

The location is beautiful, with a walking path right from the backyard. Just keep in mind that most restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk away, and there's no meal service beyond breakfast, something to consider after a long hike. Shampoo is provided but not conditioner, though that seems common in the region. We stayed at Hotel Hartmann for one night after four days of hiking hut-to-hut, and it was such a treat. They let us leave our suitcases for a few days while we hiked, and they were waiting in our room when we got back. The hotel was much more luxurious than we expected: a super fluffy bed, wonderful service, fantastic breakfast, and a peaceful wellness space with saunas and a steam room. Self-service drinks and snacks were a nice touch. We just wish we'd had more time to enjoy the huge balcony, but it was raining. A huge thanks to Hotel Hartmann and its wonderful staff for a stay we won't forget!
