Residence Lastei

The views are stunning. We visited Seceda and the Alps de Suisse, the most impressive mountains we’ve ever seen, and the location made things easy. The family who owns the house gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home. Breakfast is simple to order and arrives at your door in the morning. We highly recommend the place and would be very happy to return.

The room was spotless, the bed really comfortable, and the views were breathtaking. Madame Michaela treated us like family, and fresh bread can be included each morning, which I recommend. The house is filled with amazing paintings and sculptures made by her father. Visiting the Dolomites was a dream for my girlfriend and me, and staying at residence Lastei made it even better. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the city center, with a couple of steep streets, but that was good preparation for the trails and walks. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

We really liked this residence and stayed five nights with six people. The host was kind and gave us all the information we needed. The view is very good, and you can see the beautiful scenery just by opening the window. It’s easy to get to the cable car or downtown from here. The residence has a fully equipped kitchen with cookware and plates, so we could cook for ourselves.

The view is spectacular, and there’s a bus stop about 50 meters from the front door if you’d rather skip the steep walk to and from the town center. It isn’t far on foot, though. We really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and caring, warm hosts at Residence Lastei. We like locally run family lodges with deep ties to their community, because the people and place feel real. We’ve stayed in many small establishments over the years, and this is a particularly good example of that kind of place. You feel well cared for and know you’re somewhere away from home, unlike in a big fancy hotel where it can be hard to tell which city you’re in.
