B&B La Rosa di Orvieto

There's free parking on the street next door, and the guesthouse is just outside Orvieto. Rosa, Francesco, and their children make it feel like a family stay, while still leaving you room for privacy. Our room was clean, pleasant, and colorful, though you do have to climb two flights of stairs to reach it. They were ready to help with anything, and one thoughtful surprise was an unexpected gesture of care that I'll keep to myself. A genuinely positive experience. Thank you.

A lovely extra was having Rosa's sons Fabio and Mauro prepare breakfast and share a few family stories with us. It made the stay feel like part of a beautiful life project, and we'll come back, if only to find out what happens next. We stayed with Rosa and her family for a short visit to Orvieto at the beginning of the year, and their welcome was so warm and genuine that we felt at home right away. The apartment is very clean and well looked after. The orange room is spacious, with a balcony, sofa, and private bathroom, while the shared kitchen has everything from a kettle to coffee and cappuccino machines. The house is in Sferracavallo, just minutes from Orvieto by car or public transport. It's a great balance of price, comfort, and hospitality, and would suit a longer stay too.

I first came across La Rosa di Orvieto while walking the Camino de Larth, but its location also makes it a great base for tourists visiting Orvieto. There isn't a set breakfast, though the kitchen is fully stocked with coffee machines and toasters. The rooms are spotless and have a real homey feel. Rosa and Francesco are wonderfully kind and clearly know how to run a B&B. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Unmissable.

Rosa was fantastic and went out of her way to meet all our requests, doing more than she needed to. We stayed with her on both the first and last nights of our Camino de Larth. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, including towels, shampoo, and soap. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and there was food available around the clock, not just at breakfast. Also, her little cat Lucky was very happy to be cuddled. Highly recommended for walkers and everyone else!
