Podere Sette Piagge

We were genuinely sorry when it was time to go. Francesca and her family made our stay at Podere Sette Piagge feel so welcoming, and Francesca was attentive and kind, always thinking ahead and making us feel special. We loved spending the day out and then coming back for a swim, with wine and snacks by the pool. The property itself is beautiful. Francesca also arranged a wine tasting with lunch and taught us to make pasta in a cooking class, followed by a wonderful dinner.

The breakfast was amazing, and Francesca looked after us so well. We stayed in the little cottage, which had a fairytale feel, and the path up to old town was magical too. The whole visit felt enchanting. I only wish we'd had more time, and hope we can return one day to that little piece of heaven on earth.

The views were beautiful, and the roses were lovely. After arriving, we immediately wished we'd booked one more night. It was such a peaceful, welcome pause near the end of our trip through Italy, a calm stretch before finishing in busy Rome. Wonderful hospitality made it all the better.

The owners and staff made this feel like much more than a visit. When we mentioned our interest in history, they put us in touch with an archaeologist friend who gave us a private tour of ancient Etruscan caves. Their recommendations and guidance also added a lot to our time in Orvieto. We loved the grounds and the comfortable rooms, and everyone we met was wonderfully kind and helpful. The bedroom and private bathroom were spotless. Breakfast was included, with fresh local baked goods, the best croissants we've ever had, and espresso drinks made to order. The family who runs Podere Sette Piagge are fantastic hosts. The experience gave us a real connection to Italian culture and history, and we'd love to return.
