Agriturismo Grotta di Figazzano

After days out exploring nearby sights in the heat, the clean swimming pool was a real treat. The Trullo was lovely and authentic, the location made getting around easy, and Lorenzo was a fantastic host. We had a great stay and would happily recommend it.

The room was neat and clean, and the garden was beautiful. We stayed for two nights with friends. It’s very secluded, which suited us for the quiet and the garden, but there’s no restaurant or supermarket within walking distance, so you need a car to get into town. The owner was kind and tried hard to communicate despite the language difficulty, and we appreciated the hospitality. We were troubled by the dogs, though. Two medium-sized dogs were shut in a small cage, and another was chained outside it. We understand this may have been done for guest safety, but the conditions were not hygienic. The dogs were sweet when we gave them treats, yet seemed to be kept for months in a cramped area, sleeping and staying among their own urine and feces. It was horrifying to see. We’d appreciate it if their treatment and surroundings, which are also part of the rental area, could be improved.

The owners were such sweethearts and always ready to help. The kitchen was well equipped for simple meals, and the property is clearly kept in good shape. The trullo is adorable, but the outdoor space is especially lovely in the evening. We loved it, thank you!

The setting is pleasant, and each apartment has plenty of privacy. The hosts were very kind and ready to help. It’s a great fit for families or groups who want to holiday together while keeping some independence, and it’s well placed for visiting the main attractions.
