Casa Azzurro

Just steps from the sea, in a fantastic location. It was comfortable and furnished with good taste, right down to the little details.

Getting around inside the apartment could be tricky with a 4-year-old, or for anyone with mobility or knee problems. There's a steep staircase just behind the entrance, the toilet is there, and one more step takes you to the living area and bedroom. From the kitchen there's another steep flight up to the shower and roof terrace. That's the one drawback in an otherwise wonderful apartment. The place itself was spotless, and the beds were comfortable. Picking up the keys was straightforward. It was handy to have bed linen, towels, tea towels, a well-equipped kitchen, and even coffee for the coffee maker. Two beach umbrellas and a sun lounger were provided too, which was especially useful with a child since we didn't have to arrange those things ahead of time. Villanova's location worked well for us. There are two small beaches nearby, plus two bars and two restaurants. In about a 10-minute walk, the harbor area has cafes, gelaterias, restaurants, and bakeries. Ostuni, the nearest larger town, is about 10-15 minutes away. The landlord was easy to reach and quick to help. There was a marathon in town, and we weren't sure about parking or road closures, but he replied right away with a solution marked on a photo.
