Monte Sarago Villas can be reached via a historic staircase of 130 steps connected to the Hotel Monte Sarago but also with your own car via a private road. The swimming pool, for the exclusive use of Monte Sarago Villas guests, offers a wonderful view of the historic center of Ostuni, the Murge, the expanse of olive trees and, as far as the eye can see, the Adriatic Sea.

Hotel Monte Sarago is close to Ostuni’s historic center yet quiet enough for a peaceful break. I found the spa and wellness area a nice extra, and the hotel’s modern interior has a calm, elegant feel and is very well kept. My room was spotless, thoughtfully equipped, and comfortable after a day out exploring. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive without hovering. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh ingredients, good coffee, and plenty of sweet and savory choices. With its comfortable rooms, tasteful design, and good service, I’d gladly return and recommend it for either leisure or business.

This was our second time at Hotel Monte Sarago, and we love coming back to Ostuni. We feel at home there. It’s a 10 min walk from the historic center, and the parking is set inside a lovely olive garden. The restaurant was wonderful, with delicious food and a special local wine. The staff are lovely, especially Viviane, whose warm and friendly care I want to thank. Looking forward to returning!

I had a really excellent massage with Carla in the Spa, and the facilities there were very good. The half hour treatment cost €45 and was definitely worth it. I thought €35 for an hour in the pool area was expensive, but it includes tea, several spa areas, and places to relax in a calm atmosphere, so I felt it was worth paying. Breakfast had a great selection of quality food, and dinner was good too. The hotel is well managed and a short walk from Ostuni’s old city; our room looked out towards the sea and the old city. All in all, a great stay.

The reception team made me feel at home throughout our stay. Maria, Teresa, Leonardo, Paola, and Gabriele were kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The welcoming atmosphere, comfortable spotless rooms, and care in every detail made this a wonderful hotel experience. We can’t wait to come back.

We booked six nights and ended up staying just ONE at Hotel Monte Sarago before moving to an airbnb in town, where we had the BEST experience. The hotel wouldn’t give me a dime back. I booked because it looked nice online, but the atmosphere felt off. My bed was as hard as a rock, and there were ants and mosquitoes in the room. Don’t get a room with a view unless you want street noise all night: the hotel is on a busy road. Do yourself a favor and book a nice airbnb in town instead of staying on the outskirts.
