Residence Fontanelle

We had a wonderful vacation here, my girlfriend and I. Your experience depends a bit on what you're looking for: it's a peaceful place at a reasonable price, but not for anyone expecting luxury or to be waited on. The apartment is small, though decent, with working air conditioning and TV, and everything else in working order. There’s also a soccer field, adult and children's pools, lively entertainment, and a private beach with the essentials. Nearby are Ostuni, Brindisi, Taranto, Cisternino, Monopoli, and Fasano, with Lecce a little farther down the road.

The only thing that made this stay bearable was the entertainment staff. The rooms were filthy, tiny, narrow, and cramped, and four adults in our family could barely move around. So much for the "apartment" they told us about. My bathroom at home is twice the size of that miserable little room. The kitchenette was awful, and the dishes and everything else were rusty. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even a homeless person. We'll NEVER come back!

The private beach has a lifeguard, with a natural cliff and open sea. Nearby there's just about everything, including supermarkets, restaurants, a church, a pharmacy, and entertainment. The village is close to the sea, has adult and children's pools, a bar and restaurant, and stays uncrowded because it isn't too large. Our apartment was small but comfortable, with a kitchenette for four. The staff were helpful and the entertainment was excellent.

This is Hotel Fontanelle, not Villaggio Fontanelle. It's a popular, noisy tourist hotel in the seaside area nearest to Ostuni. Bars, restaurants, a supermarket, and a fully equipped beach are all close by.
