The nearby sea isn’t the best, but you only need to go about twenty minutes north or south to find the lovely beaches typical of Salento. Porto Cesareo, Punta Prosciutto, and Torre dell'Orso are stunning too, around an hour away by car. The place itself is beautiful, and it’s well placed for southern Apulian food and those incredible beaches.
There aren’t any tourist services around. If you want an ice cream or a beer, you need to drive.
There’s not much life nearby, so it gets boring. The sea is beautiful, though, and the location just outside Ostuni works well for getting to Salento, a few hours away.
I stay here all year because life feels so much fuller, with so much peace and calm!!!!!!!
It all feels left to itself, though the sea just beyond is beautiful.
