B&b Ophelia

The garden was a lovely place to sit with an afternoon coffee, and Isabella had plenty of suggestions for things to see nearby. The B&B is only steps from Otranto’s historic center, with parking not far away. Our roomy, fresh room had a kitchenette, so we could manage on our own. Breakfast had just about everything: a croissant, a pasticciotto from the bar, coffee, juice, tea, toast, Nutella, butter, and jam. I’ve never felt so at home in a B&B. Highly recommended.

We loved being able to explore on foot, with shops, restaurants, and sights all around us. The apartment had everything we needed, and its big garden gave us a comfortable place to relax. From arrival, the owner made us feel cared for and welcome, and was very generous with information to help us enjoy our stay. It’s hard to imagine a more convenient place to stay in the heart of the city. We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-kept place in a great location.

Just a short stroll from the center, B&B Ophelia sits beside the walls of Otranto Castle. Isabella and her father were lovely hosts, and even provided a private garage for the car. They were always happy to share suggestions for Otranto and beyond. Great location and great people, go see for yourself.

This was a miserable basement stay, damp, with no windows apart from two skylights. Getting the luggage there meant carrying it about 300 meters through town, then up a steep, narrow staircase from a retro garden with old furniture. There were lots of mosquitoes, and the refrigerator kept humming and waking us up. That’s not the kind of holiday I wanted.
