Tenuta I Quattro Venti

We wished we could have stayed longer. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot, and the Italian couple who run it are lovely, with great service and very clean surroundings. Their locally made olive oil is really good, so be sure to get some. Great for kids too, and there are gorgeous beaches and fantastic food nearby.

We went in October, after the season, and at first Luigi was helpful and very nice. But on our last day, he came into the bathroom while my wife was showering. We thought it was an accident until she came out and he told her how beautiful she was. About ten minutes later, while I was in the shower and she was alone, he approached her, cuddled her, said he was sorry to see her leave, and asked to swap partners. She said no, thank you. An hour later, when she went for a walk with our baby, Luigi followed her on his bike and again called her beautiful. She no longer felt safe, so we left soon after she got back. I know my wife is very good-looking and an extremely nice woman, but that's no way to treat guests. Without this inappropriate behavior, I'd have given five stars. We won't return.

We came to Tenuta I Quattro Venti hoping to unwind, and Luigi and Valentina made us feel at home straight away, greeting us with a lovely aperitif and a sincere smile. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, and relaxing by the pool was just what we needed. We also used their comfortable e-bikes to explore the olive groves and nearby villages. That warm, genuine welcome made the stay feel special. We left with full hearts and will definitely come back. We'd recommend it to anyone wanting to discover Salento with love.
