Villa Altomare

The beach is right there, and the location also puts you near cafés, bars, restaurants, countryside excursions, and the town centre. The sandy shore stays shallow for a long way before getting deeper, where you can see fish while snorkeling. The swimming area stays wave-free thanks to the breakwater, though you can swim beyond those protected areas if you prefer. Our suite was spacious and clean, and having a kitchen and washing machine made the stay much less expensive than a hotel. Giulia was super friendly, quick to reply, and helpful with the logistics. Go ahead and book if you’re considering this place. One packing tip from our experience: bring anything you might need that isn’t listed on the website. We assumed umbrellas, parasols, and beach towels could be requested at reception, as we’d found at other places, but we should have packed them. They’re bulky to take on a flight, though.

The ocean view is spectacular, and we had a dedicated parking space in a gated area. The location was amazing and everything felt relaxed. Giulia was such a gracious, helpful host. We had a beautiful experience at Villa Altomare and I can’t recommend anywhere else!

There are plenty of restaurants and bars just steps from this beautiful, clean apartment. The location in Otranto is AMAZING. Highly recommend staying here, it’ll be so worth it, and I’ll definitely be back!!!!

The apartment was spotless and had everything I needed. The owner was amazing and shared lots of information about things to do nearby, including restaurants and bars. Such a beautiful location. I cannot HIGHLY recommend villa altomare more if you’re staying in otranto!!!!
