We loved our visit to Villa Grottamonaca. The villas are roomy and really nice, with a handy little kitchen so you can make meals instead of eating out every time. There are plenty of lovely places to swim within a 5-10 minute walk, plus enjoyable cliffside walks and beautiful Adriatic water. Even after a hot day, a pleasant sea breeze kept things comfortable, and the nights were very quiet. The owners were especially welcoming and accommodating. They patiently put up with my terrible Italian and answered all our questions about the area and where to eat. We came from Canada and would happily recommend a stay here.

Wanda and Olimpio made our stay at Villa Grotta Monaca especially nice. They’re incredibly kind and helpful, and Wanda spends the day caring for the flowers that bring so much color to the beautiful, welcoming residence. In the evening, the lights add color to every corner too. The independent apartments are clean and have everything, from TVs and Wi-Fi to sun loungers. Pets are welcome. Nearby coves and a small beach are reachable on foot or by the bicycles the owners provide, which is a real plus. Otranto is around 2 km away, about a three-minute drive or a few minutes by bike. A lovely spot if you enjoy the quiet countryside and its wilder side. Vanda and Olimpio have put together a small collection of charming apartments, each with its own style. The grounds are fenced and have a garden, barbecue, loungers, and a patio with dining tables. Inside there’s a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and TV, and they also offer bicycles. Plants and flowers are carefully looked after all around. You can reach Otranto in about five minutes by car, and there are different coves nearby. Dogs and other pets are welcome. We spent a week here and found the cottages well equipped, clean, and very peaceful. The owners were so kind and helpful. It’s a quiet location away from the city, but easy to reach by bike, and the sandy beaches are about a ten-minute drive away. We had a very relaxing stay. Thanks for welcoming us.
