Voi Alimini Resort

I've stayed at three other hotels in Alimini, and VOI Alimini was my fourth. The food here was miles ahead of all of them, just phenomenal. Lobster, oysters and freshly made mozzarella were all included in the all-inclusive price.

The rooms were a horror show, the smallest I've ever seen. At least the maids were really nice and did their job well. And the pool bridge sits right by the water without proper safety measures, which made the pool feel dangerous. The whole area looked like time had stopped 20 years ago. After this holiday, I was put off visiting Puglia again. We'd gone to Lombardy with our family several years in a row and were always happy with it. This year we tried a different part of Italy, and it was a mistake. I can't think of anything positive to say about our 10-day stay. The all-inclusive option was a joke, more like "Little Inclusive" since you had to pay extra for most things. I've never had such a poor all-inclusive experience. Only a few people spoke English, and the dining room had no information in English, so choosing what to eat was a lottery. Even when we asked, the chefs couldn't say what was on the plate in front of them. The food got very repetitive. Italian dishes were good, but the non-Italian ones were very poor. When the animators realized we didn't speak Italian, they left our table. All the games and activities were in Italian, so without the language we couldn't enjoy them. The beach was crowded and dirty, though the water was clean. I would advise non-Italians against staying here.

Really nice hotel and fantastic meals. Just be aware it can get very windy for swimming, so the flag may be red.

The beach, food and facilities are exceptional, and it’s great value for the money. Best of all, the entertainment team was fantastic. I only understand a few Italian words, but their evening shows still kept me engaged. They were great.
