Piccolo Hotel - Adults Only

We couldn’t have asked for better food or service from the team. Angelo in the restaurant deserves a special mention, he works like three people. The hotel was great, very clean, and well appointed. Thank you!

The pool and all inclusive buffet were the highlights of my week at piccolo hotel. Porto Ottiolu’s beach and restaurants are just a short walk away, which was handy. The hotel itself felt modern, clean, and relaxing, and every member of staff, from reception to the waiting and entertainment teams, was lovely and ready to help. I’ve just got back and feel really happy with the stay. It was my first time in Sardinia, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The evenings were a real highlight for me. Antonella, Flo and Bob made the trip with bingo, karaoke, yoga, quizzes, and wonderful live music from Antonella. They brought everyone together and made the atmosphere so warm. I’ve rarely had this much fun on a hotel holiday, with a great mix of peaceful time and lively entertainment. You’ll leave at checkout, but you won’t want to go. Thanks so much to them and all the staff, I can’t recommend the Piccolo hotel enough. The hotel sits among beautiful countryside, and the staff make it even better. Every team I dealt with, from reception and tours to the bar, restaurant, pool, and leisure areas, was excellent. The rooms were immaculate, with effective air conditioning, spotless bathrooms, and some of the best views over the port. At night, you can see lights spread across the bay. There’s a lively atmosphere around the well stocked bar, where the attentive staff serve daily cocktails, fresh pastries, snacks, and traditional drinks like Myrtle and Limoncello. Live sport is on too. Breakfast, lunch, and supper were fresh and served warm in the welcoming indoor or outdoor restaurant. The pool and leisure facilities were just the right size, and the pool temperature was always perfect.

The staff made us feel welcome from the day we arrived until the morning we left. The Piccolo Hotel is a peaceful little place, just a short walk from Porto Ottiolu’s harbor. We usually don’t return to the same holiday spot, but this hotel has us thinking we might. They even put up with my terrible Italian pronunciation! Ciao, until next time, grazie mille❤️ The rooms were spacious and nicely kept, and the air conditioning was excellent during the hot weather. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were served buffet style each day, with plenty of tasty food. Our inclusive package covered drinks and a daily cocktail, though we’d also recommend paying extra for the upgraded cocktails. The mixologists were fabulous. Thanks especially to Greta, Valeria, and Antonio at the bar, and Rocco, Heena, Annie, and Aurora in the restaurant. All the staff were fantastic, though we couldn’t remember everyone’s names. We enjoyed the pool without the usual scramble for a sunbed, and spent much of our time in the sunshine or cooling off in the water. Daily entertainment was included and fun. Floriano, Antonella, Laura, Francesco, and Enrico helped make the stay memorable, and Flo, we’ll join your morning beach walks next time! Since it’s a smaller hotel, the entertainment team really puts in the effort. August is a busy holiday month in Italy, and it was nice seeing Italian and international guests together. If you want a change from hotel dining, Porto Ottiolu has several great restaurants. Other guests told us they’d gone out too. The hotel’s daily shuttle goes to two nearby beaches, and one needs reservations for sun loungers. Honestly, follow the Italians’ lead: bring a towel, find a spot, and enjoy the beautiful beaches for free. We booked a last minute trip to the Island of Tavolara with Francesco, who was very helpful at reception. The boats get packed in peak season, but we enjoyed the beach once we arrived. Just watch out for the expensive sunbeds and the pigs! I also had an online interview come up at the last minute. Maria Francesco at reception and Francesco, the tour manager, helped find me a place to do it, since the hotel WiFi can be intermittent. Thank you both.
