Paola’s care and hospitality were excellent, and the breakfasts were divine. The apartment sits on a hillside in a beautiful, well-kept garden, with a fascinating view over the city and river. Photos can’t capture how lovely it is. If you want lavender scents, the freshest sun-warmed fruit and vegetables from the garden, or just to feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale, this is the place. We’ll definitely return.

For our first holiday in Italy, we spent a long time searching for the right apartment, and found it with Paola and Heinz. The farm sits on a hill with a view across the whole town of Ovada. There’s a residential building and three apartments, and the location is fantastic. Walking in, you feel at home. Breakfast means fresh Italian pastries. The cotton sheets are comfortable, with no feather pillows or blankets, and there are fresh towels, tea and coffee facilities, and a fridge stocked with food for the first few days. The kitchen has what you need for cooking and baking, including salt, oil, vinegar, and sugar. They even provide tupperware for outings. For a little extra money, you can buy coke, beer, and wine. The apartment has air conditioning. Outside, the garden is incredibly beautiful, with herbs among the fruit trees and vines. The lovely smell follows you indoors too. Paola and Heinz are very helpful, with insider tips for excursions, though there are plenty of things to do without any, and they’ll even help with table reservations. I can’t think of a negative. The house wine tastes fantastic and is a must have! Thank you!

The house is clean, well equipped, and nicely decorated, perched on a hilltop vineyard with an amazing view of Ovada. Paola and Anna made us a delicious breakfast each morning with fresh bread and quality organic products. They also gave us great advice about where to visit, eat, and get a drink. It’s an ideal spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and eat well. We loved everything and will certainly return.

One evening and one morning was enough for us to become friends, and I’ll come back with my wife when that thing we discussed happens. Paola and Heinz are the best of the best in Italian hospitality. Their genuine big hearts and souls go hand in hand with careful planning, thought, and experience. Even the bottles and stickers carry their beautiful logo, so the little details clearly aren’t by chance. I appreciate all the hard work they put into keeping this place at the top of Italian hospitality. And yes, all the reviews are true.
