ALPEDALE Locanda

We spent three wonderful nights at Nausicaa's Alpedale. The inn is cared for with so much love, and has the spotless feel of a grand hotel with the warmth of a family-run place. It made a perfect base for a holiday in beautiful Carnia. Breakfasts were excellent, with everything you could want, sweet or savory, and the conversations were great too. We'd love to come back. We hope we can!

The young owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and breakfast was generous and varied. We stopped for just one night while passing through on our motorcycle. Though the inn sits on the main road, the rooms were completely quiet. It has been renovated recently and tastefully, while keeping some of its original details. You're just steps from the legendary cycling climbs and beautiful roads of Carnia. If we're back in the area, this will be the first place I contact.

The breakfast was excellent, with local ingredients. The cappuccinos, fresh croissants, and tarts were delicious. I felt truly at home, and am grateful to the owners for their generosity and kindness. The property was immaculate and cared for down to the smallest detail. The rooms were beautiful, quiet, and comfortable, and the beds were incredibly comfortable too. I'll definitely return.

We were welcomed straight into a family atmosphere by genuinely friendly staff, who suggested places to eat and things to see and do nearby. The place itself is wonderful. In the morning, there was a lavish sweet breakfast that tasted as if it came fresh from a pastry chef's home, plus a map of Carnia to help us explore local flavors and customs. A wonderful stay we'll definitely repeat and recommend to everyone. It deserves 6 out of 5 stars!
