Baglio Costa di Mandorla - Farm Home

A nice place to stay while visiting the Trapani region.

The pool is nice, but the hosts use it too, which can be inconvenient when you're trying to relax on vacation. The location is handy for nearby attractions, yet the welcome was poor and the place very noisy. This booking was a HUGE disappointment. There was no way to communicate with the hosts, who spoke only Italian and not a word of English, which isn't ideal for people working in tourism. The reviews suggest a clear difference between the apartments with a garden-facing terrace and the ground-floor one facing the street. You can guess which one we got. That street-facing apartment was anything but quiet: the street is very busy, and the breakfast area is in a hall right by the entrance, so it gets crowded.

Our two nights at the baglio made a short Sicily trip feel easy. The studio had everything we needed, with a lovely view toward Trapani and Erice and the garden pool below. Breakfast came to the room with warm croissants, and they let us keep the room until our evening departure. Vincenzo was kind and helpful, and even waited up for us when we arrived late. Thanks again, Vincenzo.

Trying to sleep when the owner holds private parties in the garden by the pool late into the night is impossible. It feels incredibly disrespectful to guests.
