The view is gorgeous, and this ancient stone B&B was a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Italy. We stayed a week in the medieval town of Pacentro, and by the end we’d become friends with both the owners and the other guests. The lovely, friendly couple who run the place looked after us like family.

The rooms are great and spacious, and it’s a beautiful place. Mimo, the owner, is a nice man and happy to offer advice, though he doesn’t speak English. He made restaurant reservations for us at some great local spots. The breakfast could be better.

A relaxing little castle-style B&B with stylish, roomy rooms that feel thoughtfully designed. The shared living room has an open fire, and there’s a fun, well-equipped kitchen plus an outdoor dining area. The pool is great, and so are the hosts.
