Borgo Elenetta

The family running the place were warm, kind, and quick to help, and the shared laundry room had everything we needed. Our apartment had stone walls, wooden beams, plenty of space, and was clean. We loved having breakfast under the little pergola with its valley view. The pool is not enormous, but it was plenty for us, with a stunning view of the lake. There are lots of nearby trails, easy or more challenging, plus lovely villages around Lake Trasimeno to visit. A great spot for a relaxing break.

There’s a pool outside, a fireplace, and roomy spaces, all in a lovely rustic place surrounded by greenery. You get there on a dirt road. The one real drawback was how many Asian bugs were around. I hope that was temporary and gets sorted soon.

The owners were so kind and helpful, and we had a great time. The house was gorgeous, with a lovely pool tucked into the greenery and a breathtaking view. We’ll definitely come back.

The apartment I was shown was nothing like the one advertised on Booking.com, and I’m still angry about the 300 km trip to get there. I’d booked Borgo Elena, expecting a pool and TV, but was told there was no room and that the listing photos had been uploaded incorrectly. There was no pool, TV, or bathtub. The mini apartment was just about acceptable at best, and filthy, with dust and spiders everywhere. The owner blamed Booking, but they upload the photos she provides. The property was down destroyed roads through the Paciano woods, and I was lucky my car wasn’t left there. I had already spent money on gas and tolls, then had to find somewhere else to stay. I’m giving this place an entirely negative rating. In my opinion, this behavior is scamming people, and she should be grateful I’m not taking things further. Don’t bring people all the way to Paciano like this. Change the photos or say there’s no room at Borgo Elena.
