We didn’t stay overnight, but Pratello’s grounds are beautiful, with a pool and spa, and it’s clear they keep working to improve the property. The wine tasting was the highlight for us: our guide, a member of the family’s fifth generation, made it personal and informative, sharing a lot about how they make their wines. The cellar visit, focus on food from the farm, and care for quality all made the tour feel special. It was the best wine we tried in Italy. We’d love to come back.

There were four of us, and we all enjoyed the tasting. The winery is fairly small, but the wines are really good. Our guide was fantastic, answered all our questions, and explained everything.

Mara made the tasting a real pleasure. She knows her way from the grapes to what goes well with each wine, and she’s both down to earth and a total pro. My family was impressed, and we came away with several bottles of her favorites. If you get the chance to meet her, take it. Best wishes for your upcoming travels, Bennet, Julia, Gaby & Hans.

The meal was a pleasant surprise: they even asked whether we wanted to take the leftovers with us, which you don’t see everywhere yet. The food uses mostly organic, regional ingredients, the atmosphere is nice, and the service was friendly. Very good value for money.

We’d arranged a spa and dinner appointment after several emails and a phone call where it was verbally confirmed. We also confirmed by email a couple of days ahead, but they cancelled just four hours before we were due. That was really disappointing, and especially rude on Easter Sunday.
