B4 Padova

I stumbled on Hotel Autostrada a few years ago when the big hotel brands had no rooms available. I've traveled professionally around the world for the last 35 years and usually stay in luxurious hotels run by big companies, but now I always choose Hotel Autostrada when I need somewhere in this area. It's a beautiful, very clean traditional Italian family hotel, with polite, welcoming management and staff. The safe parking didn't cost extra, either. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and cozy, and the contents will truly amaze you. In my opinion, its three-star rating is unfair and it belongs in the four-star category. If you find a room available, don't miss it. Major congratulations to the staff, management, and Mr Luca, of course.

We had a great night's sleep, and the price was excellent for the quality. Luca was a lovely, attentive host. The hotel is pet friendly, so we didn't pay for our dog Pedro, and we really appreciated the treats, dog bags, and pet bed left for him. The location worked well too, close to stores and supermarkets and an easy drive to the city center. Our room was spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds and a big bathroom with amenities. There are a couple of tables in the yard where we had coffee and croissants. Plenty of free parking as well. We'd recommend staying here.

The bus connections made this a very practical place to stay for my conference. I could get to the congress center easily, and the hotel was also straightforward to reach from Venice Airport. The owner was kind and ready to help with questions. I really liked the coffee, especially for the price. It was a great stay for a business trip.

The room itself was clean and tidy, and my stay wasn’t all bad, but the man running the hotel was condescending and rude. We arrived late and struggled to find the place because the sign lights were off. The receptionist handed over the key, muttered something, and walked away. The next day, the air conditioning had stopped working, although it had worked the day before. When my husband mentioned it, the man said it was 20 degrees outside and too cold to use, warning that he’d catch a cold. The AC was working again when my husband came back upstairs, so it seemed the man had switched it off downstairs and turned it back on after we asked.
