I tried to cancel my stay and had agreed with the receptionist that I’d get my money back. Instead of refunding me, they told booking.com I was a no-show, so they could take more money from me. They’re scammers. Please book somewhere else and don’t make the same mistake I did.

Padua is an amazing city to visit for an authentic Italian experience. The hotel was great too, with lovely, comfortable rooms and very nice service. Thank you!

My family had a terminal illness, so I needed to cancel my reservation and hoped for some understanding. I know the policy meant I couldn’t cancel or postpone for free, but the receptionist’s response when I called was outright rude and dismissive: “what's so urgent to you, I am checking in a guest.” I was met with complete indifference, and that level of arrogance and lack of empathy is disgraceful. How can a hospitality center claim to offer service when staff show such contempt and hostility? Absolutely unacceptable.

The room was spacious, which was nice, but it was very hot, 25°C in April, and the air conditioning wasn’t working yet. We also hadn’t been told that someone would come to make the beds, and what they mainly brought were long black hairs. Breakfast was a strange experience. We were there with a tournament group and had only 25 minutes to eat. The waitress was furious that all 50 people needed to collect food and take it out, which wasn’t allowed. It was crowded and the food was average. There wasn’t much point arguing with her, as she didn’t seem to care and was worried the coffee machine might get overwhelmed and break down.
