Hotel Chalet del Brenta

We arrived frustrated because the room we'd chosen on Booking.com was shown with a balcony and a view, but neither we nor our friends got rooms with those features. On check-in day I went to bed thinking I'd leave a one-star review. As the week went on, though, the staff treated us so kindly that it became impossible to rate the hotel that way. Adriana, Pietro, Micaela, Eleonora, Giuseppe (the owner), and Gerson were all genuinely warm and happy to help. I don't think I've ever been treated so well at a hotel. With the rest of the excellent facilities too, we had an incredible week. I'll definitely come back next year. Thank you from your Brazilian friend, you were amazing.

The food was delicate, almost Michelin-style, but there wasn't enough for skiers and the menu wasn't typical. I strongly suggest offering a separate sports menu with regular steaks for more energy. We had half board for a week, just me and my two boys. The kids loved the small kids' club, especially thanks to Peppino, who organized it so well. They keep asking to return because of him. It was sweet hearing about a family whose teenagers had once been the little kids in the club photos, and who come back every year. The pool is small and never too crowded; my kids would like some standard lanes for proper swimming. The shuttle is convenient, but the driver doesn't speak English and sometimes pickup took quite a long time. The staff were the loveliest I've met in Italy. Nicola turned a vacation from hell into heaven by moving us to a different room. Room quality seems to vary, so check the lights and noise when you arrive.

The food was outstanding each night, and I liked having different milk options for my morning coffee and the chance to order A La Carte. A small but thoughtful touch. The spa is lovely, though it can get crowded around 6-7 PM even with booked slots. Our rooms were spotless after the cleaners had been in while we skied. Fabio, our ski shuttle driver, was very friendly and helpful, and the lifts are only a 5-minute walk if you'd rather walk. Pietro at the bar, Gianni and Sahar at breakfast and dinner, and Daniel and Michele, apologies if I've misspelled your name, all stood out for their attentive service. The team are friendly and helpful, with none of the attitude I've unfortunately encountered at other hotels in Madonna. It's clearly a family-run place, and that care shows. I can bring my dog next time, which is a big plus, and my sister and her husband praised the kid-friendly facilities too. The lift is a bit slow and dated, though it got us taking the stairs more. There was no hair conditioner in the room, which was inconvenient, but the lobby can provide some. I'd happily return to Hotel Chalet Del Brenta, maybe for Christmas again. It feels warm and welcoming, almost like home.

The room was small but cozy, and good value for the price. Everything was super clean. The mattress was firm, the sheets crisp and white, and the towels and luxurious shower products were new. There was no carpet, and they provided bedroom slippers, a kettle and tea. I'd highly recommend it, especially since it's much newer than many hotels in this price range.
