Hilton Garden Inn Padova City Centre

The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and kept in good shape, while the service is very good and breakfast has lots of options. The location is convenient too. But the wifi was absolutely terrible. At this price, staying at a Hilton, I expected a fast, stable connection, and this wasn't it.

My daughter and I enjoyed the little library on the ground floor, with about 10 children's books in Italian. We spent New Year's night at the hotel and had a pleasant stay. The park is much too far away, even though I know that's mentioned in the description, it's still hard to accept. Breakfast was crowded, but staff kept things running smoothly, and the selection was broad and tasty, as expected.

We were there for two nights. Roadworks ran along the front of the hotel from one end to the other, but luckily we didn't have any noise trouble. Our room was bigger than expected, and the firm bed was comfortable for sleeping. We also got two sweets and a welcome gift. The staff were keen to help and professional, especially when I had trouble with the wifi and digital key. I skipped breakfast but used the gym in the morning, which was up to date and well equipped. There's also a laundry room for self-service washing and drying, with an extra charge. It's a good place to stay and an easy walk to the city center. There's also a highly rated gelato shop right across the street.

Breakfast was excellent, the best of the three hotels we stayed at during our two weeks in Italy. We stayed four nights, and the bathroom and shower were spacious. The hotel also had luggage storage, which we used. It's within a 10-minute walk of the historic downtown, and the walk to the train station takes about 18 minutes and is pleasant without luggage. A taxi to or from the station is around €10. Tram rail construction is happening in front of the hotel, though that's not the hotel's fault.
